My life was becoming busier and demanding each year. I seemed to have less and less time and energy for myself, always attending to ‘What had to be done.’ As my family and work responsibilities grew, ‘MY TIME’ suffered.  I desperately looked forward to long weekends away and annual holidays for MY TIME to recharge my batteries. The first week of my annual holidays would invariably result in me being sick!!. The second week would normally be taken up with sleeping; and the third week was when I would start to regenerate, re-energise and feel good, all in time to go back to work and do it all again!

Something had to change. My motivation and energy was running out and I needed more, which was when I turned to relaxation and meditation.  

However all this takes time each day, time I didn't have, which is why Geraldine's music, meditation and relaxation techniques are so great. I can now incorporate these into my everyday life without taking specific time out of my busy day. Her music touches my soul, grounds me and reconnects me to my source of energy to recharge and re-energise my life.

Dear Geraldine,

I was clearly not at all prepared for my Mother’s passing and the week that followed prior to her funeral. Having visited Mum in the morning and subsequently playing, of all things, a game of noughts and crosses, it seemed incomprehensible that we would lose Audrey that evening.

The magnitude of the grief I felt is something I cannot explain other than to say that it is perhaps the consequence of a much loved and indulged only child abruptly losing his remaining parent, in this case my mother after 56 years.

Had it not been for your music and lyrics On Winds of Freedom, I am uncertain how my wife Elizabeth and I would have coped during this time.

In the days following Mum’s death we seemingly played your music ‘night and day’. Initially I could not stay in the room as the music triggered uncontrollable and spontaneous out pouring of grief.

What I didn’t realize Geraldine was that the ‘healing’ process had already begun. After almost a week I had very few tears left. While the lyrics had not changed they had evolved to a point where, in my heart, they also paid tribute to Audrey and her life.

Yours is a unique talent Geraldine that we feel is best described as ‘a gift to humanity’.
